went to the spanish consulate in london 18 01 08,gave power of attorney to our solicitor she got our money back 06 feb,no problems.now we are suing for our initial 6000 euro deposit.still at least we have our £46.000back.good luck to all who are staying with acc,coming up to 3 years was too much for us.

Hi, Glad you got your money back. What is the 6000 though ? We got all we put down but without interst or compensation. Is the 6000 the payment you put down when you visited using a credit card ?

Jackb - We paid deposit 3 years ago (6,000 Euros). HUMA refusing to refund so we're resigned and put it down to experience, as it could cost us a lot more to pursue through the courts. Just feel sorry for all those who paid substantial sums of money. Can't understand how they get away with it!!!

hi jackb,,and everyone else,,,just got back from a 5 hour drive there and back to vera,,good news is we returned home with our cheque,, just got to clear it now,,although solicitor spoke to cam(cam bank cheque)and there is no problem.so glad we can see the end very near to us at last,
ps,jackb we were promised money back last nov,,taken this long !!!!!! hang on in there.we been fighting for four years.

hi all,sorry last post a bit misleading,,we signed the pull out contract sep/06 when huma became in breach of contract,nov 07 was the first time they actually acknowleged our claim,and now piad up,,so in all 18 months,,,

We paid deposits of £26K Jul 05 and 17K Sept 05. We decided to pull out 01 Nov 07. Huma have refused to return our monies to our solicitor. We had a bank guarantee for the 1st £26K which our solicitor exercised at the end of Nov07 we got this money back from the bank issuing the guarantee just after xmas. Our solicitor has now issued legal proceedings against Huma for the rest, plus 3005 euro reservation fee, plus intest plus legal expenses (which now stand at approx 5000euros in total) but has said it could take "months".
On a brighter note got my £475 back from Parador this morning.
