Can I throw something else into the mix here. The main complaints so far have been in relation to the delay etc... However the biggest dissapointment for me recently when receiving the glossy brochure was the apparent down sizing of all the facilities on site. When I travelled to Spain 18 months ago Parador advertised the Country as having Tennis Courts, Driving range, Sports centre, table tennis, Five a side football pitch. Looking at the new plans all these have gone and we have an equestrian centre, Bowling Green and what looks like an extremely small swimming pool on the site! Looking at the new plans there appears to be no mention of all the facilities that have now seemingly dissapeared. I do not know how everyone else feels but having small children I was counting on having more than just an apartment in the middle of a remote site with just a bowling green and paddling pool.

I am totally with you on that one, it was a major disappointment at seeing manzana 12 (off memory) becoming a bar with a splash pool and a bowling green ! We were told it would be a central swimming pool with facilities etc to serve the surrounding bungalows and villas - better hope no Germans have bought places otherwise the few deck chairs will soon be gone ! We actually picked our plot specifically so we would be near this daytime central facility, again having young children.
The Equestrian is an added bonus, but it shouldn't be at the expense of other facilities.
Huma do say comments are welcome at this stage, maybe we should all coontact them to show our dismay at the plans for this area. Anyone know how we should do this/addresses etc? Apparantley Huma are saying that the pools on the apartment bit and another future manzana will have pools for anyone's use, but it doesn't help me justify the plot position I once thought was a great location!
Don't fancy telling Parador to pass on a message as it will probably go nowhere if the communications with the builder are anything to go by their communications with us....

We are very disappointed about the "lack of facilities" that we bought into, two years ago.... We have absolutely no faith in anything that Huma tell us - they promised various facilities at Mazarron (again some to be included at a later date). However, four years later, friends of ours are still waiting for the promised golf course and, amongst other things, Huma "sold" the swimming pool to the local restaurateur!! So, they have to pay for its use...
Beat that one! We've had enough and are pulling out now. Good luck to all who stick with it.

Looks like because Huma can only get permission to build 2000 instead of the original 8000, the model we were shown 0ver 2 years ago is going to be scaled back, I feel they will say this facility and that will come later, but it never will and they will not be interested once they have had final payments and scarppered.

Phase 1 has been granted the lic with the improved access to the site being a condition, phase 2 is subject to permission after the initial phase has been compleated!
I think we need 1 voice speaking to huma with the combined views of the investors, there perception of the compleated development with more of these facilitys in place that we were promised and expect!
Then there is the question of compensation,how is that to be decided ?
Do we all want such a lavish equestrian centre at the cost of other facilities, in addition too yes,but at the cost of, well ,maybe not ?
I still feel very positive about the development and look forward to the builders going back on site,and i would look to take an active part in a group voicing the combined wishes and requirements of the investors.

Understand that we are still waiting for the liscence to be issued FOR PHASE ONE!
If this HAD BEEN GRANTED then the builders would be back on site and we would have a property!

Did you receive the glossy brochure detailing the country club with a copy of the official letter deaming the land in that area to be building land for domestic occupation on a restricted level equal to phase one.
Phase two yet to be approved ,builders expected to resume construction early 2007 was the last information i was given from parador!

Huma have been in breach of contract on my property since July last year. A couple of months ago I spoke to Aldea lawyers regarding what money I would get back if I cancelled the Aroma. I was told all money paid but no interest on top. Have you now been told different.

If this situation is ever sorted ! and the development goes ahead but with very little amenities would anybody want to buy the properties that are finished! Huma say the house prices have risen but why are they still selling at the same price as before ,and why don't they give the money back which they have already made interest on then sell the plots at this higher profit level ! This situation wouldn't be so bad if agents or developers made some effort to reply to queries or at least have a web site showing developments in progress.

We received the letter but not a glossy brochure, and our agent advises that the site wont be downsized its other areas of Almeria that have had to do that, could some one email me a copy of the brochure you received.
She also advised that sites like this only have snipets of info and its best not to visit such sites!! and get info straight from the horses mouth!
Does the brochure have the street/house numbers on?

The horse has been gagged and bound.
Forums like these are the best places for information, granted some of it may be vague or inaccurate, but at least its something rather than nothing. We found out about delays on Almanzora through this site. Not Huma or Parador.
