Am on phase 2 and heard nothing.Believe phase 1 some should have been completed by June and still not done so think phase 2 behind the same amount of time accordingly.

We are on phase 1, had a completion date of the 8th September, this was cancelled at short notice due to problems with landscaping, pools, water and electricity supply, at the time they talked of a new completion date in early / mid October. We have heard nothing and frankly have lost interest in banging my head on a wall, we will wait now until after sales contact us, presumably they will have to give us several weeks notice ?........ You do realise that phase 1 should have been completed in June ?
When the new date materializes, I will post this on the message board...
Am I missing something what on earth is a velvation ?

Hi Paul,
I can understand your frustration, but spare a thought for my sister-in-law whos property was 1 year late at La Torre. When she finally signed for the property inm Jun06 and started to pay the mortgage it still took 6 weeks B4 the utilities were finally turned on.
I do hope Calidona turn out to be more organized than Polaris World. I hope we do not have to face the horror stories you read about on their forum.
I think you will find velvation is a posting from a guy from Iceland who has bought on fase1. His English takes a bit of working out, i would guess he means valuation.

Hello Everyone
Our completion date for phase 3 was July 2007 but as phase 1 gets later and later then presumably so do we. I wondered if anyone else had had problems over the date of the second payment. We were initially told January 07 when construction was to start on phase 3 but when the contract arrived it said November 06. They argued that the second payment was always six months after the first even though I had their computer print out from the sales office which showed the payment times. On this print out it said second payment 'on start of construction'. We argued the point and even threatened to pull out but they did not care because they said they had a waiting list for our villa! In the end we reluctantly agreed to accept the fact that the sales office had made a mistake and second payments were no longer on start of construction. The fact that everything is now getting delayed makes this even more frustrating. Anyone else had to make a second payment before they have even started building work?

I bought in April 2004 and was told then that it would be finished late 2005 early 2006 so as far as I'm concerned we are at least 9 months late. I sincerely hope that the customer service at Calidona starts to improve and that they learn from the mistakes made by Polaris - time will tell, in the mean time lets try and keep positive, like David says there have been people who have suffered far more than us.

Faze1 looks to be almost completed with the exception of some of the landscaping. The place is really taking shape and faze1 is looking very classy and up market, spolit by one resident/ renter who had their washing hanging out on the front of their apartment.
Faze2 still looks a long way off completion despite the sales office still sticking to their Spring/ summer date. All the apartmnts have been plastered, some apartments have the windows fitted and the tiling complete in the bathrooms. We could not see where any of the pools had been dug out and to be honest i think we are looking at August being the earliest any of the blocks will be ready.
There is also no uniformity in the lay out of the apartments on faze2. There are so many different shapes and sizes and as an example our apartment now has a back door in the kicthen with an additional area outside this door which we are baffled to what it is for, patio door to the 2nd bedroom with a patio area outside and a patio outside the main bedroom. The original plan showed none of these features.

We looked at faze 3 when we were playing golf.
The blocks furthest away from the AP7 are progressing well, others look if they have only just started.
The chances of any being ready Sept 07 is zero in our opinion.
We do not think faze2 will be completed until end of this year.

Hi - I'm just back from Roda. I spent some time talking to the sales and post sales teams. I have bought in phase 3 as well and to be honest I'm now assuming I wont get it until March 08. It was explained to me that Phase 3 (a) is under construction but phase 3 (b) has yet to start. News to me that they were splitting it but so be it. They are saying that all of phase 3 will be released by the end of the year - but this does not look likely. Phase 1 looks well - allbeit still a site under development - and phase 2 is coming on well. I played the course and enjoyed it - its in good condition for such a new course. Many of the water features are dry so it looks like the irrigation system is still being developed. The big news for me was that the hotel and sports complex wont be available until '09 - so allowing for some slippage it could be 3 years away.
Boy was it quiet out there in January !!
