Anyone out there purchasing in Albamar?  We have been told 1st phase completion about Feb 08 but will not be holding our breaths.  We have a flat in Blue Hills at the moment (which we have had for about 4 years as a holiday home) but are selling it in order to move into Albamar on a permanent basis in 2010.  Expect Albamar ready to move in around June or July 08 providing it is completed before the builders stop work in August in which case it is more likely to be the end of 08.  Have seen artists impressions of the site which look pretty spectacular (always bearing in mind artistic licence).  My wife and I will be retiring there when I will be approaching 60 so we aren't spring chickens.  We won't be looking for work but I do have a good command of Spanish (used to be fluent but will need a bit of work to get up to that level again).

If anyone out there is going into Albamar, we visit quite regularly and would be pleased to post some photos on the progress of the site if that can be done on this message board.

Just read your message - Mitch and I are also planning to retire to Spain next year - in Albamar - hopefully all will go accordingly to plan but - the best laid and all that.  We have bought  plot No 84- but have not been out since March this year - but it was beginning to take shape - first phase was almost finished - people were moving in the next week.  Our phase seems to be going well.

Mitch and I will be looking to do something to tide us over until our pension kicks in - we had hoped to find something for Mitch - I have a beauty therapy business which I'm hoping to run from home so as I can pamper all our girls and meet people socially - I really enjoy it and hopefully it will be a good way to meet friends. Mitch is not sure what he will do - but is open to suggestions or opportunities - he offered to be my model and parade around the pool with his nails painted and wearing a leapord skin thong - needless to say I declined.

Hi there.  Looks like we'l be neighbours as we have number 86.  We had a look in August when we went out and phase 1 has virtually finished.  People were living in the ones round by the swimming pools and three of the pools were in use.  They have landscaped it really well and it looks very impressive.   I was also surprised at how much of our block they have done with the top floor in place (In June only the pillars were up). 

We were told the "planned" completion date would be Feb/Mar next year but more likely June.  However, judging by the way they are cracking on, I wouldn't be surprised if they did get them ready for Feb/Mar.  We had a look in the Lolas at the top end of the pool and were very impressed with the finish of the building.

We are moving over permanently and were hoping to do so in a couple of years time.  It is looking more and more likely that we will move next year(when they are ready) as I will probably have to sell my house in UK to afford the balance.

We are going out again in December to have a look at what is happening and will try and take some pictures of the area.

OK, so got back from Spain on Sunday.  They are coming along really well on the site and the agents reckon the completion date of end of Feb is still on.  For Donapepa, they were laying the floor tiles in your block and the bathroom tiles in our block on a Sunday.  Couldn't get in during the week due to the amount of construction traffic and they appeared to be working through the siesta.  The phase 1 has really been landscaped well and is looking very good with, what I assume, were lots of permanent residents busy laying out their garden areas.

All looks fine.

We have purchased no 83 Albamar. It seems it is still on track for completion 18th March. The builders have sent me some photo's of our specific house they are well on the way. Every where is tiled and they are just starting to fit kitchen and bathroom etc. 

Cannot wait to actually take the house over. We have a few years to we move over permanently but will be having a lot of holidays !!! 

Would love to be in touch with anybody else bought in out block.
