Just another article from the Costa Blanca News:

Trouble for Trampolín in Campos del Río

By Nuria Pérez
THE PROMOTERS of Trampolín Hills resort suffered a serious set back this week as the regional government froze plans to construct a golf course and 2,575 properties in Campos del Río, Murcia.

At present the company is not allowed to build at the site as the rural land has not been reclassified by the regional department for public works.

Nearly 90 per cent of the properties have been sold off plan already – with most of them purchased by British and Irish buyers.

Regional government lawyers are investigating whether the town hall proceeded properly in approving the scheme.

Public works had asked the Grupo Trampolín company to make some alterations to the initial plan. These alterations should have been approved in a full council meeting and then sent back to the regional department.

However the full council meeting was never held and the plan was returned without full council approval.

This procedural anomaly is now at the centre of the controversy as the ruling Socialist party (PSOE) only hold a one-seat majority on the council following elections last May – and the mayor and another councillor are barred from voting on this issue as they sold properties some years ago for Grupo Trampolín.

PP councillor in Campos del Río, Miguel Buendía said: “The full council meeting was not held because the Socialists could not win, as only four of their councillors are allowed to vote.

“The mayor and the councillor could resign from their post and another two Socialist councillors could join the council in their place.

“Then they could approve the project because they have the majority.

“But the mayor and the councillor are not interested in resigning.”

Sr Buendía said he was not against the project, but against the irregularities that had taken place.

He added: “We reported the case to the Regional Supreme Court in Murcia in May 2007 and it would make no sense voting for it now because it is still not legal.”

Grupo Trampolín president Antonio Martínez said: “The director of the planning department Antonio Navarro told me all building plans are now being scrutinized by the department due to the Torre Pacheco building scandal.”

Sr Martínez met with officials from the regional department for public works on Wednesday morning to find a solution.

He said: “We will present a formal complaint to the public prosecutor of the Regional Supreme Court if no agreement is reached.”

Well well

it seems that Grupo Trampolin has placed themselves (and ourselves) in between rules, regulations, colicitors, politicians, farmers and land owners, family business, etc and ended up in a real traffic jam

I wonder how long time it will take to resolve this?

But as i said earlier, the market situation does not look to prosperous, so I personally have no rush...
