Hello again
I´m not sure if you are being put under pressure to part with your final payment but my advice would be not to pay any more money until you have evidence that the council has approved everything and provided the habitation certificate and that all the water supply and electricity etc is in place so you are not having to rely on the developers supply. All these things can take years to put in place so the wise thing to do is not to part with any money until the estate agent and developer can prove that everything is in order. This is just some advice following reviews of other people´s unfortunate circumstances.

Hi Angela,
I don't intend parting with any more money until we get the green light from our solicitor. I haven't bothered chasing him over Xmas/New Year as I think everything comes to a standstill in any case. Last time I was down there - about 4 months ago - I heard a rumour that there were problems with the electricity supply to the site - but I don't know if that is accurate information as I haven't heard anything officially. After waiting so long I'm not in a hurry any more. I would much rather they finished the site completely and moved out. WHEN its finished we will be in one of the blocks halfway down the hill, more or less infront of the swimming & paddling pools (I hope!!!).
Brian.

Hi Angela,
you probably saw my comments on the other Torre Alba 'thread'. The transaction to complete on the purchase went very smoothly - probably down to having a good Spanish solicitor. Some small snagging bits to be done, but apart from that, its fine.

That's great to hear. Sounds like you're happy and satisfied with the transaction and it's good to hear a happy story for a change! Let me know how it all goes and keep in touch.
