Wealth Tax - Help!!

Thanks to Richard for the photos of the Aguilon Golf Course, I`m just a bit confused, is this the course that is `in` San Juan i.e. does it extend into the village or is there another one. We were told that there were plans for one right in the village and last time we were over there (March 08) we saw signs for `Golden Sun Beach Golf ` or similar just across the road parallel to the beach.

In any event it looks great & can only enhance the potential of the area.

There are going to be 2 golf courses. The Aguilon  course opened in March and is approx 2 miles inland near Jaravia. It is owned by Aymerich, an international  company  who have developed a number of golf-courses, mainly in Spain and a few in France. They grade the courses ( and associated charges!!) from bronze to Platinum - Aguilon is a Platinum course.

In San Juan itself , in the former rambla , there is another golf course pretty near completion. It was first planned to be a 9 hole - but is now a 18 hole course. It stretches from close to the beach road inland to the by-pass, and from behind the Costa Serena development to just across the road from Calas del Pinar. The last I heard it was going to be a public golf- course rather than the Aguilon which promotes membership.

THen again.......we went up to the Aguilon golf-house when it first opened to make general enquiries and I asked who owned the San Juan course and if they were going to be run jointly .. I was told by an employee that it wasn't a part of the Aymerich company 'yet'.

Aguilon are developing a website, it currently gives rates and directions and a few other pages, only in Spanish at the moment.

Me & my husband have membership at Aguilon, we had a look around when we were last out and decided we liked the course. We both play regularly and enjoy being members of a course rather than playing different courses all the time, and getting the golf sorted was a key to our move. Our clubs are currently on their way to Spain, we follow on Tuesday so we are really looking forward to playing in the very near future.

A previous post suggested that the CDP staff were going to ask if buyers on CDP would be able to get any special rates on Aguilon but I haven't seen any further posts on that subject.
