I will be visiting my apartment next week, for the 1st time since its finish.......when we purchased we were informed that all we needed to bring were our clothes.......of course I didnt get it in writing !
Can anyone let me know what essential items I will need to bring, and a reasonably priced location to get stuff I forget (Ikea is close....right ?).
I look forward to meeting some of you around thw 19th of May......I am there with my wife and 13 month old daughter.

Hi there telboy
A Californian Firefighter (i like the red bum) ..... you must be busy in your job, sadly.
I'm not aware of any IKEA around, but i can say i'm happy with my furniture quality.
There are plenty shops around the area, and going in towards Torrevieja where you can buy
some good quality ornaments etc depends what you like.
Some great markets around, Sunday Lemon Grove, pick some bargains for pics & bits bobs etc
What block are you in ? Are you going to sign and collect keys ?
take care and ENJOY !
regards
Panky

Hi Panky
We are in Block 9 and we are also really pleased with the furniture You mentioned the Lemon Tree market, we went there and thought it was really good for picking up bits and bobs. We had family out at the apartment and we had told them to go also, but they could'nt find it, I guess our directions weren't too clever.
By the way Gordon says hello (remember the photos) We'll maybe catch up with you at some point over the summer

Hi Telboy,
Welcome to the forum, I'm coming out on the 21st, if I can be of any help, I'm in 5d in block 12. Ikea is in Murcia, about a 40 min drive, N332 south, join the AP7 at Compoamor, then the A30, you will see it of the motorway.
Regards
John

we went to Ikea and took us ages to find it. For furniture or any electrical goods there are two stores near to the Carrefour in Torrevieja which is about 10 mins drive. They are Hermanos Garcia ( Centra Crevillente ) where we got sets of draws which fit inside the wardrobe and they delivered the same day and Ardy which is basically a hardware shop which sells garden, bathroom, shelving and lots more. We got a set of Pine wooden shelves for the storeroom for 18 euro. They are worth a visit as they usually have items in the sale.

Thanks everyone, I was mainly concerned about the pot pans, cups plates, kettle etc.
Getting the keys Monday afternoon, and signing my life away......look forward to meeting some new friends.
I try not to be too busy at work......trying to keep my good English work ethic in tact.

Hi Louisen,
If you head out past the carrefour heading for Quesada, take the Guardamar cut off, keep going straight down that road and you will come to a garage, the lemon tree market is just past the garage on your right. Well worth a visit.
