The 57/68 Act requires that promoters who receive money to account for the acquisition of a dwelling delivered a guarantee to buyers, so they can run it and immediately recover their money if the works fail to take place, or if are delayed unduly. The guarantees, as this body of law should be issued "by an insurance company, registered and licensed in the records of the Department of Insurance, a bank or savings bank.

hi there guys and good morning just to let you all know that i have once again sent the 3 e-mails this morning and i urge anyone who  has yet to send them to get cracking it can only help us all in the long run at least they know that we wont be taking this lying down keep up the pressure and if anybody knows of other ways in which we can all put pressure on the relevant parties post your ideas .

We have seen or heard somewhere that a voting session is held at a meeting of the council on the last Friday of each month. This means a vote today we hope!?!?!?

In the Costa Blanca news today, it is reported the first criminal lawsuits against GT have been presented in Mula's investigating court.

The Bank guarantees issued by the Swiss Financial Corporation cannot be executed in Spain.

The company admitted that building should have started last September but didn't.

The company also admitted that it had started selling the properties despite the scheme not having been approved by the regional authorities.

Given the above, why does ANYONE believe this fiasco is going to go ahead?

This is worse than Almanzora Country Club, at least there ACC buyers have an option to transfer, with a BG, to another development. Where do the buyers here go?

I personally hope the Mayor will resign with all this pressure on him. A judge in murcia who had investigated this 'fiasco' said that the town hall (campos del rio ) had given provisional permission to build a while back. So I am assuming that GT will take legal action against the council if they do not approve the build, putting even more pressure on the Mayor.

Looks like will be coming to a head pretty soon tho'!
