Food hygiene
The Comments |
Hi All,
Hopefully someone out there will know the answer to my question..........
I am in the process of starting up a small cafe/take away in Spain, do I need to take a food safety/hygiene course ?
I speak very little Spanish so would prefer to take it in English, Is this permitted and where do I apply to take it, how much does it cost
how long does it last ?
I'm sure that there are many wise old owls out there who can advise me. I have many more questions on the subject of running a cafe but dont want to overload you guys with everything at once !!
Thanks in advance !

Yes, you need a food hygiene cert. The local council should be able to point you in the right direction.
What you need is one of these,' Carnet de Manipulador de Alimentos'. I would have thought the council would have been able to tell you where to go. Try googling the above or ask in a local bar/restaurant, or a gestorias . I've got an out of date UK one. lol. It's about a 4 hr. course, in Spanish!
