Can anyone recommend an IASA which pays a decent interest rate, or am I asking for the moon...?! Donna

I've recently had a similar problem - trying to find a 'good home' for my Sterling savings. Whenever a try to open a NEW bank or Building society account online, the system requests me to confirm that I am a Resident of the UK (which I am not) and to confirm that I am happy for them to check this with the electoral role (which would catch me out anyway, being registered as an overseas voter!).
- Only last week I opened a POUND STERLING account here in Spain with Bancaja, paying 3% Interest, but unfortunately this is only when untouched for 12 Months. They offer a much higher rate if you are prepared to leave it for 3 to 4 years, and the interest can be paid into a seperate current account for those that need a regular income.
