Paying taxes in Spain

Hi

We need to pay our taxes in spain La renta and council taxes. I believe that our SUMA is paid by D/D but is it possible to pay our La renta on line to save going down to Spain? We have owned an apartment in Horizonte Playa Flamenca for 7 years (off plan) and have up to now had a solicitor - but they were next to useless (although they did make sure our taxes were paid - at a price!) so we have binned them. I am told that the nearest Taxe office in oriheula but that is quite a way for us to travel from our apartment, so paying on line would be ideal. Any help would be gratefully recieved.

PS we have been trying to sell the apartment for some time now but the market seems flat. 

 I too own in Horizonte Playa Flamenca since 2004, maybe we have met in a bar somewhere!

Anyway, yes, you can pay your own taxes and save a lot of money in lawyers fees.

You can pay online, there is a process to go through though.

Firstly you would need to gain a certificate for the computer you will use to pay your online taxes.

This can be applied for online, but you will have to visit the tax office in Orihuella City in person, to have the certificate validated before you can make your 1st online payment.

alternatively, you can pay them in person at your local bank annually when you visit for your holidays
