Switching Electricity supplier
The Comments |
I had a meeting with a rep from Iberswitch last week as we are looking for a cheaper supplier for our 5 properties, but he told me:
1. They charge 30 euros + IVA per property to switch
2. They keep 30% of the savings
3. Iberdrola are putting up prices three times in 2011 by 5% each time
Has anyone managed to switch suppliers themselves?
Cheers,
Mike

Is it really easy to switch I heard that although you change company Iberdrola still control the actual line used

Yes, it really is that easy, but this is all pretty new in Spain. I've just had the notice from Iberdrola saying the price is going up at the end of the year, so I'll be switching.

Another point is that the process can take up to 3 months (according to Iberswitch) so may be better to start the process sooner than later!
I have since sent an email to Endesa (& spent 20 mins on the phone with no contact) with no reply, do they actually want any business?
