 HI,

I'm looking to move out to Spain in May 2011.

Although we will be buying eventually we are going to be renting for at least a year.

we are looking for either:

A semi short term furnished let - one to three months, so that we can find a long term let that is right for us. 2 bed/1 bath minimum

OR

A long term let of 6 or 12 months, unfurnished. 2 bed 2 bath minimum.

Fairly open on areas between Torremolinos and Estepona, but would prefer Calahonda/Las Chapas area as I have friends there.

It will be for me and my boyfriend(in our 30's), with my mum coming over and staying quite a lot.

No children, but I do have a small Yorkshire terrier (well behaved and not a yappy dog)

Let me know if you have anything that might be suitable for us.

thanks in advance

Joanne

Hi Joanne

Welcome to Eye on Spain.

Take a look at our long term rentals section.  There are quite a few properties there that may be of interest to you.

Best of luck with your search.

Thanks for the replies guys and gals.

just to reiterate, I don't want to go any further out towards Gib than Estepona - so anywhere between Torremolinos and Estepona, and not TOO far inland either please

for a long term let it also needs to be UNFURNISHED

for a semi long term let of 1-3 months it would need to be furnished

Hi Stan

I would rent my property to these people but the community has a strict rule on no dogs and I think most communitys do unless anyone can say differently

 Hi Rod.

Is that true?

I have friends out there, and have been staying out there for a decade, in various communities and there have always been dogs around.

I thought it was more down to the personal choice of the property owner? I have asked about various properties and some of them have said that they don't want the dog, which is of course fine, but none of them have said that dogs aren't allowed as part of the community terms.

If anyone can clarify this I would appreciate it :)

Hi,

There are quite a few dog owners in our community. I think you are right - it's up to the owners to make the rules.  Around the pool area of course it is prohibited for obvious reasons, but there are plenty of open areas where we are to take the dog for a walk. As long as you clean up afterwards there shouldn't be a problem.

Smurfinator

I can only reply for our own community who disallow dogs but it seems other communitys have different rules its a good job you found this out before commiting as having to get rid of your pet would be Im sure very upsetting.

Hi Joanne,

Just letting you know that the majority of the urbanizations do accept pets and it is on discretion of the owner for property.

Also I wanted to let you know that you can have a look at our website homerentalontheweb. com

Hope we can help you find the right property.

Kind regards,

Yvonne
