This Years Bookings
The Comments |
Our bookings for Spain this year have been very good we are fully booked into september with varied nationalitys visiting our area
Just think what could be acheived if the Spanish Goverment didnt put their foot in it all the time with all the bad press on holiday home victims, corruption in the Juntas etc etc etc

I am finding that bookings are very poor for this summer. We haven't had the number of enquiries we usually have either. Any tips on how to increase bookings ?

I too have found it difficult this year, since Niumba changed the way they allow you to access enquiries. Unless you buy their service now, you can only reply to the enquiry with their form and you have no access to email addresses, so brochures can't be sent.
Interestingly enough, I have just had a call from Ryanair villas (or whateer itwas called) guaranteeing me a 10x return on my £85 investment. Uh huh, heard that before somewhere!!!

Some owners on our urbanization use a German agency and their villas are pretty well full for the summer season (with Germans of course!). The agency take a hefty commission but the net rents are pretty good and I understand Germans are very respectful and leave everything clean and in good order.

Poppy might be on to something. When I was over in Malaga the last time the car rental place had a brand new shipment of cars in the yard, which surprised me quite a bit since I thought the rental places were extremely slow in building up their fleet in the current climate. But then I was told that due to the unrest in Egypt, Tunisia and other places a lot of Germans were deciding to go to Spain instead and that it was actually difficult to book for Spain in Germany such was the demand.

We have had four bookings from Dutch people this year and even one from the UAE but no Germans I also find that the European visitors treat the place well and clean up before they leave, the worst breakage we have had was an umbrella after 5 years and over 100 visitors
I do make a point of speaking to all my renters to weed out any potential problem visitors
