Afghan Heroes is a charity set up to support the troops that have been injured and maimed on the front line in Afghanistan. It also supports the families of those that have been killed. Although this is a British charity the Calpe branch are seeking Spanish soldiers that they may be able to help.
In order to raise funds for this important work we are holding a Gala Dinner and Ball at the Diamante Beach Hotel in Calpe on the 19th of November. A number of local dignitaries have been invited to attend. Some of the mothers that started the charity are coming and some of the injured troops. We are looking for sponsors to bring a soldier over at a cost of 200€ each.
We are seeking donations from the local businesses that would be willing to help. This could take the form of cash or a gift to raffle or auction depending on the value. Anything that you can offer will be greatly appreciated. In return we offer advertising on Radio and in the local press. There will be a rotating TV display in the reception area of the ball where all sponsors will be advertised. There will also be a notice board at the entrance to the function, naming everyone that has helped. All sponsors names will also appear in the program that every one attending will be giving. Their names will also appear on the website of the ball, with a link to their website if they have one.
