Elec Meter/Iberdrola/Need Reconnected! - La Manga
The Comments |
Hi
I have a property on La Manga Strip (Tomas Maestre area).
Iberdrola disconnected us (unpaid bills), our account now up to date.
Struggling to get a reconnection (or someone who speaks English at Iberdrola).
Anyone know what to do next?

Draw their attention to Their own 'Terms & conditions ' section 8 'Billing & payment ' sub-section 4.
I quote " Once supply has been interrupted ( disconnected ) , it shall be reinstated at the latest by the day following payment in full of the owed amount , including any late-payment interest that may have accrued & expenses caused by the disconection & later restoration of the supply "
This means that they have 24 hours from the time that you have paid the account in full. Point it out to the & ask for the 'Hojas de reclamacción '. ( compliant forms.)

Here's there site in english with e-mail address ,etc.
https://www.iberdrola.es/webibd/corporativa/iberdrola?IDPAG=ENWEBCLICON
Instead of the 902 numbers you can use 913 648 888 or 915 776 500 . Just state 'servicio inglés, por favor ' when the receptionist asks. I've never had a problem with english speakers on there , always get someone who speaks & understands perfectly.
Hope this helps.

Hi Gus
Iberdrola have now installed an automated exchange on all numbers, basically if you dont know Spanish you may get stuck!
I pressed a few random numbers and eventually got a spanish person who transferred me, took nearly 30 min to get the call taken once transferred.
Looks like we have got it solved, will update next week,
Thanks for the help so far!
