Sure RA's New card has nothing to do with this contraversial Practice.

Still I am not using RA next year. I also do not have their New Card.

I have used my Visa Electron with Jet 2 and BMI Baby for 2012 flights. No Chrarge

Companies will be banned from applying "hidden" credit and debit card surcharges to push up the price of flights, concert tickets and other goods.
 

The Government has signalled it will put a stop to the controversial practice by the end of 2012 following a call by theThe OFT That had said the fees, often added in the final stages of a transaction, should be blocked for debit cards - but the ban will also extend to credit cards.

Most retail sectors will be covered and businesses will still be able to add a small but not excessive charge to cover the cost of a payment method.

Great move,   but why oh why will the Gov take another year to stop the practice. ?????

It's a rip off now and has been from the start.  The Gov should make a law that everyone who has been ripped off should be refunded now and also be compensated.
