El Pinet update on refunds!
The Comments |
Hi, just joined the site looking for an update on El Pinet.
Bought and paid Deposit in Feb 2003 and yes we are still waiting for completion. Has there been any successful refunds of all monies paid to dissatisfied buyers yet ?

Hi Chef 62,
I do not know of anyone who has tried to get their money back or if they have been succesful.
I think the El Pinet development is fully licenced now and work continues after it ground to a halt.
San Jose have a funny way of working(not funny Ha Ha)they seem to build without the relevant documentation and then apply after the fact, hence the problems at El Pinet,Albeterra and Jumilla (santa Ana).
Sorry couldn't be more help,i think a lot of people resided themselves to the fact that they would continue works at El Pinet and hung in there as in essence it is a good location.
Regards
Georgia

Went to court July 2007 re refund from San Jose the judge found the court hearing in our favour September 2007. However San Jose have appealed and it can take another year. The contract is not worth the paper it is written on, the developers are totally unscrupulous and they have never heard of customer care.

Direct execution of the Guarantee. Send cancellation notice to both developer ( or administrators) and Bank.
You may need an independent lawyer to help you with the execution. Just because both will take the matter more seriously and because you may end up necessarily going to Court.
Best,
Maria

This might be of interest to El Pinet buyers who haven't had a refund.
Good luck
Bob.
