anti virus AVG2014

Hi

can anyone help me

I have the AVG2014 anti virus on my laptop and run it about every

5 days.

It has worked fine until the last few days when the following is now happening

when it finds a virus (which is usually in thr rookits (whatever they are)

and as normal I press ADDRESS ISSUES the I press REMOVE ALL then I press

RESTART NOW to reboot. when the laptop comes back on it says ALL ARE NOW REMOVED, but the last

4 or 5 times when I go back to check the AVG scan nothing has happened, the virus is still on the laptop.

can anyone advise me what to do please.

I am a novice so plain english please.

make a note of the virus (name) and then do a google search on how to remove it.  There are plenty of websites that can give you advice on these types of viruses.  Alternatively go to the AVG website check the forums there or email the support team and they should be able to help.  It is of course possible that after removing the virus you are then utilising some other program or software that just reloads the virus after you have removed it.  Hopes this helps a little
