The winter in Spain such as it is will be over by the time you visit the country. Spring will be well advanced in April, May.
'Alicante area' is a huge description of a province almost the size of a large county in the UK. Do you mean the City or the geographical region?
There is a long designated dog friendly beach near Alicante airport. If you drive past the airport heading for the sea you will come to it.

Hi
MAny thanks for the quick reply, were to stay, we thought either Torrevieja, Murcia or Alicante..not too sure yet, still looking, what we will need to look for is places to eat that the pups (10 month old) will be allowed in, and if we can find Dog sitters, I have found many dog sitters from the web

Dogs are not normally allowed in restaurants in Spain. Usually you can sit outside on their terrace to eat but it can be a problem. If you go to booking.com they have a dog friendly filter where they will select hotels for you that allow dogs. They all charge a nightly fee per dog. Many hotels in Spain will not accept dogs. I always use the Accor Hotel chain which is pet friendly.
