Hi,
I have been thinking of retiring to Spain with my husband. We are both British and are currently French residents. The only thing putting me off is that we would not be covered for any pre existing medical conditions. What do people do for that first year?. Do you just live with the hope that nothing will happen untill you can buy into the Spanish system on the second year? I have read a few stories about this problem and the potential cost of any medical requirements if not covered.
