hi all
i am very new to this but all help would be gratefull, i would like to purchase a property on mazarron country club it would be a resale any advice please and the transfering of money as the euro is lower now than what we was quoted on, which means £5000 pounds extra needed if we proceeded for the property now, also the solicitor acting for us Professional & Legal Solutions, thanks for any help

Have you looked at any of the currency exchange companies rather than banks? The exchange rates are better & charges less.
Also, if you know how much you need to transfer & when, you can book a forward rate which will protect you if the rate gets worse than it is now. They also take into account economic forecasts which means the rate for say a transaction due in 3/6/9 months time may be better than the spot rate that is available today.

many thanks i am looking at moneycorp & hifx bank looking at the post for advice thanks for your reply just starting to get a morgage sorted in england for a property we like over in spain so we are looking for all the advice we can get as it is a scarery road we are going down.

Hi we used Hifx and found them to be very good, no problems incurred at all. Before you do anything regarding morgage, please speak to Patrick Robinson of Marbella Mortgages, he goes under the name of "smiley" on this forum, he is very good and will help you all the way. He made the whole process very easy for us.
