Does anyone know where i can hire an anglegrinder (Mojacar/Garrucha)
The Comments |
I need to cut 4 paving slabs (they are on my roof solarium) to take a umberella stand.
I am at Valle del Este near Garrucha or Mojacar, dont really want to buy one just for 4 cuts.
thanks

Hi Simon
We needed an angle grinder (to cut house bricks where we put outdoor lamps as the bricks were similar to Bath stone which has a textured finish. Lamps were at peculiar angles so we needed to cut stone). We actually found it cheaper to buy than to rent. We did only buy a 4" grinder in our local DIY shop (in Spain) but it was only around 12€, crazy price. Ask at a DIY store about hiring, maybe.

dealse,
Please don't forget to wear a mask when using it!!
Stone dust can really cause problems if you breath it in, as my brother would verify after he came in to contact with it when an apprentice heating engineer many years ago.

Gloves also should be worn. Keep your feet well away too. Seems daft saying it but lots don't take enough care. My OH used safety goggles as well as gloves & a mask.

There's a place in Vera down one of the side streets across from the bullring that rents machinery. Maybe they'd have one??
I don't know the name of the place, sorry.
