Well, although John is Scottish, he joined me in celebrating yesterday. The best we could do was have egg and chips in a local cafe at lunchtime; John also had sausage (OK, chorizo!) as he eats meat but I don't, whereas I had emperador. The owner gave us a small glass of dulce vino with our dessert, which were like choc-ices, but smaller. We don't have restaurants doing full English breakfasts or roast dinners here, but at least we tried!

PS Thinking of going to Barcelona next year for St George's Day, as we have heard they do celebrate it there!
