I am interested to know the way the above is affecting Spain, I have some recent observations observed on both a recent trip to my house in Manilva and to Tenerife;
Tenerife:
all hotels etc were busy as were flights however hotels now offering all inclusive deals from whole shooting match to all drinks at the bar on a Saturday
Not many people out spending money in any of the main areas
Lucky lucky men agreing to any low price and not even arguing!
Manilva:
Price of food shopping seemed to have dropped slightly over 3 months previous
Price of a round of golf same or worse!
Some of the better bars offering extended happy hours at reasonable / sensible prices ie 3e for a brand name short and mixer, 2e a pint
Restuarants-same as golf above!
Flights:
Interesting one here as we booked Tenerife each August for golfing break in Feb-this was the first time i have seen "cheapy flights" cheaper nearer to departure than when we booked.
Also got a very good deal on ej from gatwick to gib recently £320 all in for four of us.
FYI-CAR HIRE:
Did ask this question on an earlier posting however now have the full answer;
when using doyouspain or crown you still pick the car up from the same underground car aprk in gib however you pick up the paperwork from a new kiosk by macdonalds in La Linea, they are also now charging a 300e covering deposit per car which they kindly failed to mention on their site -this is in case of damage etc etc.
