Driven in Spain for many years and I have to admit that whilst I think I have been sensible I have not taken much notice of the speed limits
In many parts of Almeria it is relatively quiet and no one seems to bothert!...but just outside Cuevas [ A332] driving towards AP7 ....bang.....speed trap and caught doing 78 in an area where the limit goes down for a short distance from 80 to 60
No licence with me so thought that I may get done for that ,but they were very polite...fine 100 € but only 70€ if you pay cash on the spot.....no cash so had to leave passport behind and go to Cuevas to get it
Needless to say they were doing good business!!!
Made it an expensive day and it was a good job that it was before lunch!
As I can be traced in UK by my passport number it will be interesting to know whether or not it will mean that my UK licence will be endorsed......does anyone know the answer?
After the event I then read in one of the local free papers that they were having a crack down on the minor roads!!
Time now to learn all about the speed limits!
