On another note,I really don't understand the rules on this forum. Is it only property managers that are not allowed to advertise in the way I did? Because over the last few weeks I have seen many people advertising other services and those posts have been allowed to stay on?? I was not advertising my company I was asking if anyone on here would like to rent out their property so is it just because you have to pay to advertise property on here that I am not allowed to ask?

It's because it's advertising.  If every estate agent and rental agent were to use the site to increase their portfolio it would become a huge mess.

People are allowed to sell personal items in the classifieds and they can put a request that they are looking for a particular rental property on here, but we cannot allow the forum to be used to directly to "tout" for business.  It's not what the forum is for.

We have advertising opportunities on the site for those that would like to work with us and grow their business through us.

Thats what I was asking,is it only rental agents that are not allowed to request? I have seen people advertising themselves as builders etc. with no problems or deleted threads so is it just ads concerning properties which are not allowed?

I completely understand your point Justin that everyone would be advertising for free but surely this should apply to ALL businesses then?

There was recently someone replying to a 'newbie' thread with a blatant advert which others commented on and that was not deleted so what, exactly are the rules???

I am sorry, I do not like causing an issue but I have never advertised for tenants on here,only specific properties needed. I feel it is a service to EOS users if we have good,paying,trustworthy tenants looking for a property. I have read so many horror stories on here about tenants not paying!

Have to say i am a little concerned i am not a property agent and i want to rent out my home as i have succesfully sold my car through this site i thought it would be a good idea however i find my post deleted. ** EDITED - Please use the dedicated rentals section to advertise your property ** .
