Somport tunnel

Hello,
My name is William we want to drive to Spain via Oloron and Somport Tunnel to Jaca Zaragoza Teruel Valencia.
Question Having severe fear of Heights will We be ok on this route ie no long stretches of scary drops over side of road etc.

I did the Somport tunnel a few years ago and stayed nearby in the Pyrenee and found it a great route with some very interesting scenery but as its a main road used by truckers no really scary bits, only if you tried old Col de Somport road, unfortunately approaching Zaragoza etc. scenery gets very flat and monotonous but avoids Madrid route.

Many thanks we did the tunnel by Vielha some years ago and that quite hairy I remember.

Hello Geek
Any particular reason to go that particular way. I know the route looks the best directly, but consider going around the end of the pyranees and down through Pamplona and across to Zaragossa, it's actually quicker, and the new road from Irun to Pamplona does not have so many of the scary bits.

Many thanks we will look again at Pamploma route we did Somport 20 years ago before tunnel was built and I was young and brave!
