Hi everyone

I have just bought a typical Spanish town house in a terrace and was wanting to put a roof terrace onto the property. Both houses at either side have a roof terrace and I was wondering if anybody has any experience of undertaking a similar task.would for example an architect be required to draw up plans or could it be done by a competent builder? Also an approximate price per sq metre would be useful to know. The roof slopes from one side to the other and is in a poor state but the major internal support beams are sound.. Any answers, advice or relevant comments much appreciated!
