Hi All,
A bit of a tale of woe but hopefully someone may be able to point us in the right direction.
My partner and owned a property in the Granada province with her now ex-husband. We have since bought his share. To cut a long story short during her divorce the costs associated with the up keep of the place began to cause some financial pressures and with no financial assistance from the ex she failed to pay an electricity bill which resulted in Endessa removing the supply and the meter.
I settled the bill with Endessa's solicitor's over 6 months ago however, Endessa cannot find the money so we cannot move forward and get reconnected. The phrase exasparated springs to mind.
It's been suggested that I should attempt to open a new account in my sole name. I have a Spanish bank account but no NIE number so don't know if this will be possible.
I guess the question is, what is the recommended approach to getting a solution?
