The house beside us is mostly rented out and we have had a lot of bother with occupants making a lot of noise way into the wee small hours. Eventually I spoke to Spanish friends who told me that 11pm is cut-off time for noise, till 8am the next day. Also there´s no noise allowed during siesta time between 2-5.
During one lot of tenants, driven to distraction after several sleepless nights I rang the local police who couldn´t have been more helpful. They sent a patrol car straight away and ...no more noise. Definitely the right thing to do!

The Casa Culturas and the pensionistas /tercera edad clubs all have regular dances, usually on a Sunday night. Just find the one nearest to you and go in and ask. There are also hotels and restaurants which do the same on Sat nights, but it´s a matter of asking around for those. Hope this helps!

I would feel happier buying a property with title deeds, although I do think it´s only a matter of time before all properties will have these. It just depends whether you don´t mind the extra worry of if and when. I would also advise buying a property with the correct planning permission. So many people have built extra rooms, etc, without planning, and with the current economic crisis affecting ayuntamientos, it is only a matter of time before they realise there is a gold mine of fines waiting for them. I´m told that in some areas, including parts of Camposol, they´ve already started on this road, although I don´t know anyone personally.

It all depends what you are looking for. We don´t have traffic congestion on the Costa Calida, so it looks quiet, but, believe me, there is a lot to do. We can´t find enough hours in the week for all that there is. Moggy has recommended a web site for you to look at, probably the best thing you can do. Good that you are keeping an open mind though!

I´m not sure that the builder of Camposol is entirely to blame. A reliable Spanish source told me that the ayuntamiento would have received a substantial sum for the construction company as a kind of surety against problems. The question seems to be: what has the ayuntamiento of Mazarron done with this money?
