Hi
I am a non resident in Playa Flamenca district living in UK and would like to share an experience with others who may benefit from my recent experience.
I recently called in to Iberdrola offices in La Zenia - the staff were very helpful in quickly processing a change of bank details for the standing orders covering the regular house bills. At the end of business, almost as an after thought the clerkess said 'by the way - you do know that you have a credit amounting to almost 1000 euros? We withdrew the money from you account by accident in 2011!! Would you like us to refund it now??'
With so many SOs at my Spanish bank I hadn't done a proper bank reconciliation in 2011.The question is when might Iberdrola have told me they were holding a significant credit on my account. The Standing order paid the ongoing bills and left the credit sitting on my account doing nothing!
My message is simple - check your status with Iberdrola - they do make mistakes - seldom on your side - you may have a credit that they haven't told you about! Anyone else experience this sort of thing?
Yours aye
