The interest I was awarded was confusing to me, however I now realise that the way it has been calculated is as follows.
For each year the interest is worked out i.e. 2005 was 4%. So multiply the deposit by 4%. i.e..if deposit was 50000 Euros the interest for this year would be 2000. This figure is then multiplied by the delay interest which was 3% which is 60 Euros, so the total for 2005 is 2060 Euros.
My one concern is that the delay interest in the table posted by Maria is very different to the one supplied by my lawyer which was for 3% for each year.
