 I have enjoyed reading the comments, but must tell you about what happened to me. Having decided to buy in Spain I sorted a trip out for myself and arranged to meet a few agents. I had picked propertys I wanted to see with the agents so set off on my first day out.

I met up with an old english man who firstly asked ..are you driving!! I dont feel like it..er no im not! I had my mother with me who is in her 60s and the dirty comments from this man towards my mother were sick for a man of his age (the perv). After half an hours drive we met with another agent I knew nothing about and off we went. Here was me thinking I was going to view the propertys I had picked out..oh no after 10 hours, nothing to eat and my mother in tears I lost my temper and asked for him to take me back to my car. After refusing because we had more propertys to see I walked off to take my mother for refreshments and got a taxi back to my car..half an hour away. In the day I was forced to see propertys that I said right away I would not buy but was made to wait so they did not upset the owners while the second agent looked round making out he was with me!! One house was falling down even these con men admitted it was. I was lied to all day and these men must of thought I was stupid, the main house i wanted to see I was told they couldnt get hold of the keys..well they had a months notice !! I got the whole day on video camera including this man crude comments to my mum.

After the worse day of my life I went back to the hotel and cancelled all other agents. 

I am still looking but will be buying direct from an owner, I have friends living in Spain and they hopefully have put me in the right direction Its a shame for all the good agents out there men like that should not be allowed to work

The main problem for us is the UK market, there are tiny signs of this picking up Im seeing more sold signs in our area so Im living in hope that this time next year mine too will have a sold sign.

I went there in Feb 2008 the properties were much more then, They have fallen in price !! no wonder you sound angry, I love the real Spain and have many spanish friends, they are lovely people if you get to know them maybe you can start enjoying yourself there and relax alittle thats what Spains all about. Enjoy Life x

I am very sorry to have upset you but I am only going on what I saw and was told from people who live there, also bar staff at the little bar/cafe there, dont worry Im not going to Mazarron it put me off the area.

Im sure you may be happy there but I could not see people spend their hard earned cash on properties that are falling down I have videos of it I took myself of the large cracks and the very bad building work, walk up to area C and have a look and look how many are for sale and why is the rubbish not cleared away from that area? Trevor Mc donald did a bit on this complex about 2 weeks after I came back from there it was on television. as I said before the other parts are ok and nice, but the shops were very few and very overpriced but hey you can get a pukka pie from the chippy there. I am still looking forward to my move  back to Spain thank-you Im now going to the area where i lived before the people are very nice and helpful there  x

We plan on moving to Spain but like many due to the housing market in the UK and the price of the euro we are sadly having to wait. We are hoping its picked up in 2010 so we can move then, along with some friends and their families.
