 We have just spent a week in a beautiful two bedroomed villa above Frgliana, with its own pool, very quiet but only a few minutes drive fom Frigliana and ten minutes from the coast. I would recomend that area for a "Sabatical"  We live on the costa del sol in Marbella.

We are in La Reserva where we both live and operate our business. Contact us and speak to people who realy know what is going on. 

Properties are changing hands here and some mortgages have been granted, despite what the ill informed scare mongers may say.

As Smiley says the Spanish Buyers are shrewed and would not buy here if there was any serious problems. There are at leat three Spanish Lawyers who I know who have bought here.

YES they are !

and as for the local free papers. Take last weeks Euro weekly news, it just had one thing missing "NEWS"  the total news added up to about threee and a half pages, the rest was full of advertising, whole page adverts for some Cheap phone deals. Seven pages of TV listings.Classified adds for telesales jobs and adult relaxation (See the SUR for that)  Some of the so called news was old and some was just local news stories. We dont need to read on a wednesday or thursday "That Barrichello" won a grand prix the previous Sunday. I could go on but I wont, get your hands on one this week and just see what I mean.

They all listened to the doom and gloom merchants (some of whom frequent these forums) who predicted a serious down turn in the numbers coming to Spain. Whilst they are down, here on the Costa del Sol it has been extremely busy, especially in August. Anyone who has been to Malaga Airport will question the downturn. I could have doubled our business if we had more properties available, but everywhere was full. I had to help out lots of clients who had booked flights but not hire cars, they had thought that as previously they could just turn up and get one. Hey Ho!
