Yeah.

It's just that you keep paying for insurance and road taxes if you cannot hand over evidence of destruction in the form of that certificate... That continues to be our problem for a few years now..

Veyr interesting reading all!

Off course I have yet another exception... :-)

What if you have lost the owners documents (as we have) and still want to destroy a car (as getting >back< the papers is administratively impossible, long story)?

According to our "Gestoria" it merely takes a special document to sign.

Was wondering if anyone had any similar experience.
