Personally I love the Costa Tropical as it seems to be a much more traditional coast. It might have pebble beaches rather than sand but it's relatively undeveloped in comparison to other areas. For me the town of Salobreña is just stunning. It's a white Andalucian village built up a hill with a Moorish castle at the top and it also has some really good seafood restaurants and bars on the playa. It's a very Spanish resort and that's another reason to live it; I can sit on he beach & only hear the occasional Brit. In the winter it turns into Sleepytown & you can sometimes feel like you've got the place to yourself. It's definitely a world away from the pints & burgers of Benidorm!
