Same here. Went to the trouble of downloading the code and taking hard copies with me and they didnt want to know! I am wondering if they prefer to chsrge us the additional admin fee without giving us the option of producing the paperwork.

Thanks for the responses. A year later and the critter whstever it is is still up to its tricks. Trouble is we arent there all the time so havent a clue whether it might be a badger, large feral cat or pine martin. Will check with coperativa if any of those animals live in the Enguera mountains. Thanks for the replies

Thread: A mystery... Animal on roof lifting roof tiles to get at wasp nests? Any others have similar problem?

Hi - we have a rustic finca in Enguera. Twice now, when visiting, roof tiles have been lifted with the remnants of wasp nests scattered all over. This last time, about 50 tiles had been lifted !  Spanish neighbours took photos and think it might be "an animal" - but what kind of animal would go onto a roof and be strong enough to lift old terracotta tiles for the wasp nests? We've heard pitter patter of feet in the roof space before - but just thought this might be bats.  Worrying about long term damage/rain getting in etc if it happens again. We've had the property 8 years now and it's happened 3 times in the last 8 months....  any advice or thoughts very welcome. Thank you.

Just got back from wonderful 9 days in Enguera. Weather glorious.  Xativa is a nearby town - excellent to visit. Also, there's a lake at Anna and restaurants - popular on weekends with the Spanish. Ontinyent is about half an hour away - v. nice town with all the shops and amenities. Also Bocairent - a medieval town set on a hillside; We haven't explored it in full yet but intend to do so next trip.  There are estate agents in Enguera and Xativa. The church in Enguera is beautiful; there's also a convent and a tourist information office with further info on places of interest to visit.  Hope you enjoy your stay - and good luck with the house hunting.

Hi - just joined the forum. We have a place in Enguera. Its a little gem of a town. Beautiful medieval town centre - with all the amenities you could possibly want; lots of little shops and bars; excellent supermarket (Consume) and every facility you would need. The people are extremely friendly. Not that many English from what we've detected. A real sense of community in the town. Lots of festivals; very "family orientated". Beautiful church and convent.  Contact me if you need any more info. REgards, Sheila (currently in UK).
