I am hoping that someone can help me with a contact e mail to contact BMN Caja Murcia at Playa Flamenca. I found an e mail on the internet which I have tried to use and I have just had the e mail returned. I can't put the e mail I used as EOS has just blocked it

Any ideas anyone?

Of course opinions on different areas are very personal but we have a holiday home in Punta Prima and we really like the area. Near to the sea, shops, restaurants and public transport- you are not reliant on hiring a car.Our relatives and friends who use our apartment all love it too particularly as most of us like to go a bit out of season and there are always shops and restaurants open whatever the time of year. Try the Mar Menor out of season and my experience is virtually a ghost town!

I think any area by the sea is always a little bit commercial but when on holiday we like to have a choice of restaurants to go to and that is the compromise we choose to make. Similarly if you are by the sea there are always a lot of tourists of all nationalities particularly in high season but we never find Punta Prima unbearably crowded.  So for holidaying we find it suits us just fine- and one of my greatest joys is walking by the sea most evenings which would not be possible inland.

We have friends and aquaintances who live full time in the area and they seem to like it too. We looked at many different areas before choosing Punta Prima and I would recommend you do the same. If you want the same things as us-  walk to the sea walk to shops and rstaurants, accessible public transport, near to an airport, all year round resort then it may very well suit you too.

I have recently discovered the likely impact of Spanish inheritance tax and have been very concerned at the financial costs to both the surviving spouse and my children. who would inherit after us.                                                                                                                We did not buy our property to sell for a profit or to rent out but as a long term holiday option for ourselves and our family and to keep it in the family. We are happy to pay any normal payments but this tax - appears aimed at hitting non residents in a very punitive and unfair way So I wondered  if we could transfer the property now to our three children ? Does anyone know if this is possible and if it would avoid inheritance tax. I am aware that there could be all sorts of other difficulties but I am happy to trust that the children ( who are all over 21) will behave responsibly in the situation. After all we all use it to holiday now but we pay all the running costs, taxes etc and would in practice continue to do so as they would struggle to pay. I would be interested in hearing from Maria or Roberto about how much this would cost to do - the transfer to the children, -if it would mean they would not have to pay inheritance tax when their father and I die and if it would be possible to keep any payments in our names. Would the children all have to get NI numbers and all have to make tax returns. This is all beginning to sound complicated as I write it. I think the only sensible solution is to sell up. It is so sad because this is not what we bought the property for and we have so enjoyed holidaying in Spain but I cannot see another    solution. We will have to get used to holidaying in the UK again! Has anyone any ideas to help?
