I too had a similar situation in Murcia.  The best thing that I ever did was to change lawyer to Maria at Costaluz lawyers.  I can  highly recommend  Maria and her team, they were very professional and always kept us informed, they were absolutely fantastic and we now have our deposit back, even though we had no bank guarantee.  Thanks Maria.   Wendy and Nigel Hall.

I am currently buying a property in Spain but the development is more than 12 months behind.  I, therefore, have a decision to make due to the market conditions. 
1) Do I continue - completion is approx 3 months away (green areas 12 months) or....
2) Pull out now and get my money back due to breach of contract??

What would you do???

Hi there,

This is my first time on the blog, and I also live in Staffs UK.
I am currently in the process of buying with EAS and therefore read your information with a vested interest.  I am purchasing a property in Los Urrutias Aldea Beach and am awaiting the final completion date. (Should have been ready last August). 
I must say I have not , as yet been treated in the way that you have, but I shall now be aware of their downfalls.
I shall certainly discuss with the solicitor the negative equity situation you find yourself in immediately.
