Hi, just joined the forum and wanted to say thanks to all those who have provided useful info on this topic. I've just successfully been online and completed our 'new style' 210 form for 2011, payable by 31st Dec 2012. Opted to go for the printed PDF version which I will post to our spanish bank with a letter asking them to do a transfer from our account. Next year I might look into doing the whole thing online using digital certificates etc...seems a bit complicated for now.
I found it useful to compare the english and spanish forms and instructions (unfortunately can't include links but most of them are linked earlier in this thread and all are available on the aeat dot es website if you look hard enough!). As johnwm said earlier, the layout looks neater on the spanish generated PDF. You can complete the english version, save it and then reimport the data into the spanish version if you like.
Unlike others on this thread, I couldn't get the PDF to generate properly using Chrome - kept getting 0115 error. It said I needed Java Virtual Machine and directed me to the Java site, but I wasn't clear on what I needed to download. I tried Internet Explorer instead and after installing a small ActiveX file, it all worked fine. I'm using Windows XP, Adobe Reader X, AVG Anti-Virus Free 2013, Internet Explorer 6(!) and Chrome v22.0.1229.94m.
One final thing, the print quality of the barcodes seems much worse than in previous years... I'm using the same printer, has anyone else found this?
