Has anyone had a problem with the sink in their bathroom?  We rented our apartment recently but one of the guests leaned on the marble sink surround and it broke away from the wall and cracked.  I think it was probably bad workmanship and obviously I have no recourse from the builder.  Let me know if you have had a similar problem.

Hi Alan and Terry

My understanding is that this tax is payable on a calendar year basis and is payable in full regardless if you took ownership of your apartment at the the start of the year or towards the end in your case

This might seem like a silly question but when we visit the apartment we turn the boiler in the bathroom on and leave it on the whole time for our stay and only switch off when we leave to come home.  But someone said to me that this is really hard on electricity but i thought if the boiler was on the whole time it would cost less than constantly turning on and off each day and having to heat the water from scratch each time?  What do other people do?
