We went back to UK from 5th to 19th December and Claus stated they were fully booked.  So we used AUPA and, apart from finding the parking lot rather overcrowded when we arrived, had no problems whatsoever.  Very friendly and helpful staff.

Picked us up on our return within 5 minutes, so would use them again.

A tip, if you visit their English website there is only general information, so you have to call them.  However, we used a Spanish website  parkingaeropuerto(dot)es to book a reservation and everything worked out OK.

Assuming we are talking Windows XP here, and also assuming it is just the screen resolution that has been inadvertently changed, do this...

Right click on the Desktop, left click Properties and then click on the last Tab on the right....Settings

Slide the Screen Resolution slider control up to at least 1024 x 768 (or even higher if on a wide flat screen).

If it's Vista I recall that when you right click on the Desktop area you choose Personalization, then Display Settings, then Resolution in order to make the change.

Sorry, Rob in Madrid I understand you sent me a PM days ago but despite two attempts to ask the admins to enable Private Messages I still cannot read your PM which is sitting there and therefore cannot send a response or send a PM to you either.

Since I cannot put a URL or email link in any postings either, I shall just go and feed my ADSL pigeons!!

Thread: Internet Techy Question

Marksfish, it's quite simple really.

The ADSL router RJ11 connector goes directly into a Telefonica wall socket (also RJ11).  Then all other telephone devices like phones, fax machines or computer modems need to be connected through a microfilter to avoid them interfering with the ADSL signal.  In effect these other devices are split from the main telephone line by the filters.

Telefonica microfilters are simple devices with a single RJ11 plug on a short lead at one end, and an RJ11 socket to plug the phone etc. into.  If you need to plug the ADSL router and a phone into a single wall socket, you use a small two-way adaptor to plug the two RJ11 plugs into a single wall socket.

ADSL routers supplied by Telefonica come with three microfilters (the maximum you are able to connect on a single line) and you put them on everything connected to the line, apart from the router itself.   The ADSL router is always connected directly and unfiltered, whilst all other devices are filtered.

Sorry but I have to disagree.

What you are describing (as in your picture) is a UK ADSL microfilter.  This has a BT (white) plug to plug into the wall socket and two outlets,  one is a BT type white socket which is filtered for the phone and then a second RJ11 socket, unfiltered, for the ADSL modem/router.  If you are in UK, you are quite correct in saying that the ADSL modem/router must connect through this microfilter using the small RJ11 connector and the telephone should be connected using the larger BT white connector.

Here in Spain telephone wall sockets are a standard RJ11 connector and therefore the ADSL modem/router should be connected directly to this RJ11 wall socket and any telephones should be connected through microfilters.  Microfilters here in Spain have standard RJ11 connections at both ends not like the one in your picture.
