Thanks to floella and windtalker for their words of wisdom.  We have a buyer for our property (our next door neighbour) but will not look seriously until we have our hands on the cash.  We are browsing and investigating various areas from a distance at the moment.  We know what the agents are like from our buying experience ... lots of enticing property advertised and when you enquire it's " oh sorry, sold yesterday, last week etc but we can show you ... this one.  As they say .. been there, done it and got the T shirt.                                                                                                                       

The only difference seems to be that most agents in Costa del Sol are part of a network and any one of them can arrange viewings and become involved in the purchase process, which is great if you can find a decent agent you feel you can trust, but, if they didn't take the original instruction they will know very little about the property you're viewing.

Hi everyone

I'm new here, so be gentle please!  We currently own an apartment on the Costa Del Sol which we are selling and planning to move up to Costa Blanca South.  Have been looking at various sites to get an idea of what's apparently for sale and wonder what the market is currently like up there?  Is it very active, are things selling quickly and what sort of discount can be expected off asking price?  We're looking for 2 bed / 2 bath (preferred) apartment with solarium for around 70 - 80k euros.

Also, do the agencies act in a network where they all have access to all properties for sale?  Finally ... any recommendations of agents to make contact with?
