Just a reply to paulsimkiss comment,

t's actually not as easy coming to the UK from an EU contry as you might think. When I got there from Denmark I couldn't get a mobile phone contract so I had to go with pay as you go. When I got a job they had to pay my salary into my husband's bank account as I couldn't open one for ages. Everywhere you go they ask for proof of address and you can't really get any proof of address without already having proof of address. With time it solves itlself, but it's a real hassle when first arriving.

What was said above sounds about right. It's what we had to do. I'm Danish and my husband Moroccan. We were lucky though that the Danish embassy accepted our wedding certificate from the UK scanned on an email and just send me the letter.

You'll definately need everything translated into Spanish.

I don't now what you do if you can't get the letter from the UK anymore.

I've also travveled with a case of 15.5kg and not been charged. I do try and stay within the limits though - and I must admit try and avoid ryanair anyway. Some times I can't resist their prices though.

Have you tried an international removal company? Often they fill up a truck with different clients so you only pay for the space you use.

We used TorFX and saved about 2000 for moving 30.000 pounds compared to doing it through the bank.
