Can anyone give me some idea of cost of transferring property ownership from joint names to just my husband's  single name?Mortgage would presumably  have to be tranferred also?

Thread: Cost of changing Deeds to one name

13 Mar 2010 12:00 AM:

I have a beautiful 13 1/2 yr old  black lab who has arthritis in his back legs. His quality of life is good at the moment as long as he has his medication. However I know there will be a time when I will have to make the kindest decision for him and have him put 'to sleep'.

So I am pre planning and asking if anyone knows of a pet crematorium where the pets are cremated individually so you have your pet's ashes rather than a mix?

Sorry to be so blunt, but he has been an amazing friend and he is the last of my previous  dog's litter of 11. He is very special.

Joan,

Thank you so, so much for the info.

Ithas been so frustrating trying to find out and all I get is the very relaxed attitude of 'go see if they are still there' .

Thread: Collect NIE within how many months/years?

18 Sep 2009 12:00 AM:

We have not been to spain to collect our NIE numbers  that were approved on 11th November 2007 as our property has been  delayed.

Does anyone know how long they are kept for collection, have we already passed that deadline if there is one? They have been approved at the Murcia 'Extranjeros' offices.

I need to ensure that either they are definitely still there (so as to not have wasted trip from uk) or they are now no longer valid and destroyed so we have to apply again.

Thank you Mariadecastro,

She thought that if her husband's children had no way of paying (doubtful of getting loan etc) that the villa could not be sold for them to use their succession inheritance to pay for the tax for their share.

Although the villa is in joint names she has put in more money into the purchase than her 2nd husband and was worrying.

She thought tax had to be paid by them before property was sold and therefore cause problems.
