I am new to this setup and I did send you a PM although I am not sure whether or not you got it.I did mention a phone number and a website so perhaps the system does not send it.  I recently purchased a property with my sister in a small village called Jacarilla which is typically spanish between torrevieja and orihuela.  I have not used property in spain however I can recommend a company that operates in the costa blanca region called low cost home spain who are located in Jacarilla. When you are preparing to purchase all sorts of questions spring to mind,  will we be swindled? can people be trusted? This company are a family firm and operated by a lovely couple called Ingrid and ricardo.  They are totally honest, reliable and extremely professional.  From viewing to completion it is stress free which is ideally what you are after. Builders in the area have made significant reductions to try and entice people over because of the fall in the pound.  I would highly recommend that you contact ingrid(who speaks perfect english) to establish what is on offer.  You have mentioned almoradi and guardamar and I know that they cover that area and beyond.  It is great from your point of view that others have recommended contacts as it is worth exploring every avenue open to you.  I wish you every success DG68 as we were in your current predictiment not that long ago. w.hanvey
