Valencia pharmacies begin indefinite strike over government non-payment

Pharmacies in Valencia, Alicante and Castellón began an indefinite strike today in protest over the 450 million euro debt the regional government has with them. From November 5th onwards, two in every three pharmacies will be closed each day, on rotation, until the debt is settled. Pharmacists argue that the regional authorities have brought the strike upon themselves, by leaving pharmacies in a "dramatic situation which has forced them to close indefinitely".
