Lo Crispin doesn't have much of "an area" to look around, it's a small urbanisation consisting of about 1000 properties and one bar. It's situated inbetween artichoke farms and a pomegranate orchard so very agricultural. There is one road leading into it which is off the roundabout from the AP7 motorway, so one good thing, it is easy to get to other places. You will need transport, there is nothing here except the one bar and that's at one end of the urbanisation depending where you live. Someone did build a small commercial centre but they went bust so it all stays empty and looking rather scruffy nowadays. Probably best if it's pulled down.
There are a lot of holiday home owners here, so for a lot of the same you could hear a pin drop, except when Rojales and Quesada have their fiestas, the noise travels across the fields and can keep you awake until 6am. in the summer, as you can't keep your windows open to let in cool air, so you stifle in the heat.
The nearest life is Quesada but we avoid it as it's full of English shops and bars and restaurants, the pavements are a disgrace as they are so badly in need of mending, basically it's a tip. So the best place for us is Benijofar, which still retains some Spanish influence, and it's quiet, unlike Quesada where everyone seems to shout. Beyond Benijofar is Benimar, lots of Danes and Dutch there and Brits. A few bars and shops. Another area is Rojales which Quesada actually belongs to, and there you have the old town, and a couple of areas with shops and bars such as Doña Pepa and Lo Maribou but they are basically little suburbs of Rojales.
If you are going to retire here permanently then I suggest lloking more North, beyond Alicnate, Campello, Muchamiel and Busot. Much nicer areas, a bit more "classy" than some parts around here, although Lo Crispin is "OK" it really is a load of houses plonked in the middle of nowhere.
